2010 Rose Bowl:
Ohio State Buckeyes vs. Oregon Ducks
Rose Bowl is recognized as the oldest bowl in college football. It goes all the way back to 1902, and the competition per se has always been part of a bigger affair. The bigger affair is called the “Tournament of Roses,” and this tournament goes on for many days. For the longest time, the Rose Bowl declined sponsorships. However, in 1999, AT&T entered the scene, but unlike in other bowls, the title did not bear the sponsor’s name. (They served as the presenter however.)
Arguably, many football fans would say that the Rose Bowl is the grandest US stadium in terms of aesthetics. The Rose Bowl action happens in the middle of the San Gabriel mountains. So, whether one has bought Indiana State Team tickets or another those for another team, the football fanatic would surely appreciate seeing a sunset during a game.
For a single event, the stadium could bring in 92,000 Rose bowl tickets. Also, Rose Bowl handled other momentous events, like a number of Super Bowls and even the World Cup finals. Rose Bowl has seen many interesting and closely fought games. In 2006, Texas State ticket holders were given the joy of their lives when their team defeated USC in an affair that up to now is considered as one of the classics.
In a span of fifty years, Rose Bowl showcased the top team of the “Big Ten” and the champion of Pac-10. This bowl partnered itself with BCS, and this means that they would be hosting a national championship on specific periods.
